Chairs' Welcome
On behalf of the Governors at St Edward’s Royal Free, I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to our school.
St Edward’s Royal Free is unique in being both a middle school and a joint Anglican-Catholic Voluntary-Aided school. It has been on its present site for 30 years but has existed for well over 300 years in various locations around Windsor.
In keeping with the Ecumenical nature and Christian ethos of St Edward’s, our mission is to provide a caring, happy and inclusive school with God at its centre, a place where the Christian values of respect and tolerance for each other flourish.
The governors, staff, pupils, and parents/carers work together to provide a rich and exciting learning environment for everyone; our core values of service, excellence, respect and faith underpin everything that we do.
As a middle school we are able to provide our primary pupils with expert teaching across a wide range of subjects. Our broad and balanced curriculum, and the array of extracurricular activities on offer enables each pupil to fulfil their academic potential whilst supporting their spiritual, and social and emotional development.
St Edward’s Royal Free is a wonderful school, and all of us who serve on the Governing Body are immensely proud of the achievements of the pupils and staff. We would also like to thank our parents/carers and the local community for their ongoing support in all that we do.
Further information about the Governing Body and the work that we do can be found in this section of the school website.
